ThomasNet Audience Development Initiatives Continue to Move Ahead

The ThomasNet Audience Development team spent last week in Chicago at the ProMat show. As part of our goal to promote ThomasNet.com to new and existing users, we are trying out new trade shows we haven’t been to in the past. This was our first appearance at ProMat, and we were delighted with the quality of traffic!

The show attracted approximately 30,000 individuals who source products in the Material Handling Industry, and we were able to talk with many of them – both users and clients/prospects. In particular, we received great feedback on the new look of ThomasNet.  One great piece of feedback worth noting, “I want you to know – it [ThomasNet.com] was very helpful, as it is the first place I go now when I need to find manufacturers on particular products.”

ThomasNet executives were interviewed by seven trade publications. Stay tuned for more information as these interviews are published. 

While in the Chicago, the team met with folks from the Department of Commerce to discuss promoting ThomasNet.com in other countries and attracting new suppliers to the export market.

The Thomas Register print directory was “The Bible” of industrial product sourcing in the past.  Why?  Simple.  It had the information industrial buyers needed to find credible suppliers.  ThomasNet.com may not be printed on paper and bound by hardcover anymore, but it’s still the leading resource for industrial procurement professionals in search of credible suppliers.  You may not see our books on the shelf of every one of your customers, but we are their go-to resource and we continue to work diligently to grow our audience.
