On Friday, November 30th, 2012 President Obama will visit The Rodon Group in Hatfield, PA. I’m not much into politics, but I know it’s a big deal to have the President of the United States choose your workplace for a visit. It gets exciting when the company he is visiting is one of your clients! Not long ago, The Rodon Group asked us to help them develop a brand message and a campaign to help promote it. ThomasNet may not be the first place you think of for this kind of initiative, but the fact of the matter is you won’t find too many marketing partners with more experience in industry than us. You definitely won’t find one that’s more dedicated and cost effective either!
ThomasNet is a thought leader in the industrial marketplace. We work with thousands of industrial clients and have a good grasp of what works and what doesn’t work. We’ve got our fingers on the pulse of trends in industry and we’ve got many services to fit the manydifferent needs of our clients. We have developed a network of trusted partners to execute many of the traditional things one would associate with an agency (photography, public relations, copy writing, etc.).
So how does that relate to President Obama’s visit to The Rodon Group? When asked to help brainstorm for branding ideas one jumped to mind immediately and that is “Cheaper Than China”. Small injection molded plastic parts have become almost exclusively the domain of Chinese manufacturing….or has it? Through massive amounts of ingenuity and properly executed planning, Rodon can beat Chinese pricing and quality! But why keep such an important advantage a secret? This became the foundation for a branding campaign that has morphed into “American Manufacturing Matters” along with quite a bit of press. I won’t get into all the details, but The Rodon Group’s partnership with ThomasNet has provided credible platforms to deliver the message, resources for spreading the word, and a partner dedicated to nurturing it.
We are here for our clients in more ways than one might think. Next time you are looking for a marketing partner to help develop a brand message think of ThomasNet!
